Why ADG?

Choosing to join Alpha Delta Gamma is a big step, a choice that could impact your life long after your college days. One of the main questions you already are asking yourself is, "Why ADG?" What separates the Alpha Delta man from the rest?

Alpha Delta Gamma is a national fraternity that has been affiliated with the North American Interfraternity Conference since 1960. With chapters stretching from Washington, DC to Los Angles, ADG has always been both geographically and ethnically diverse.

Alpha Delta Gamma was founded on Five Basic Principles, that continue to guide the Fraternity today. These pillars that every AlphaDelt lives by are known as the Five S's: Spiritual, Scholastic, Service, School Spirit, and Social.

Each Chapter tries her best to complete many aspects of the Five S's during the course of the school year. This is definitely an aspect that separates Alpha Delta Gamma from the pack. And it is because of this balance which comes from our concern for Service to our fellow man, School Spirit for the University to which we attend, the attention to Scholastic endeavors, the Spiritual-ness no matter one's faith, and the Social aspect of Brotherhood that makes choosing ADG, the right one.

Becoming a Founding Father of a chapter of Alpha Delta Gamma is a big step and one not to be taken lightly. Over the years many a men have been in your same shoes and probably have had many of the same thoughts and feelings you are experiencing right now. You may begin to understand a little of what we are about and where we came from, but to get a true understanding of Alpha Delta Gamma you must hear it from the brothers themselves.

The very question that you may be asking was asked of them, why ADG? Here are their answers….

"I joined Alpha Delta Gamma because of its heritage, idealism and focus on life long, true brotherhood.  I never thought I would "go Greek" until I found ADG"

- James Fitzgerald, Kappa Fall '00

"I joined ADG because of the brotherhood and the service aspects. I knew a lot of people in ADG before I joined, but I got to know even more people, make more friends, and get to know the friends I had even more, when I became a brother."

"I appreciated how much ADG gave back to the school and the community without giving it a second thought, most frats don't really do that, and that impressed me how much community service at different organizations they putin during a school year. Those were the 2 driving factors that made me want to become a brother in ADG."

- Pete Manning, Xi Chapter
